Clipdrop has changed hands twice: originally built by InitML, it was acquired by Stability AI in February 2023, then sold again to Jasper AI in February 2024 to strengthen Jasper's multimodal capabilities for marketing teams. As of 2026, it continues to operate independently at clipdrop.co and remains actively maintained under Jasper's ownership.
The free tier includes 100 images per month across its tools. Paid plans start at $9 per month for higher volume and priority processing, and an API is available for developers who want to call individual Clipdrop tools programmatically.
