Google Flow is Google's AI filmmaking and creative studio, built specifically around Veo (video generation) and Imagen (image generation). On February 25, 2026, Google merged two previously separate tools — Whisk, its image-remixing/mood-board tool, and ImageFX, its text-to-image generator — directly into Flow, making it a single unified interface for generating and editing both video and images rather than three separate apps.
Its defining video capability is Veo 3.1's native synchronized audio: sound is generated simultaneously with the visual content rather than added afterward in a separate step, which is a real differentiator from most competing text-to-video tools. A Scenebuilder feature and 4K export are available to subscribers, and Flow is now available in more than 140 countries, with 1.5 billion images and videos created on it since launch.
Accounts without a paid plan get a limited number of free monthly credits to try Flow and Whisk-style generation. Google AI Pro ($19.99/month) includes 1,000 Flow credits monthly — roughly 100 lite-quality videos, 50 fast-quality, or 10 full-quality Veo 3.1 videos.
